Nearest train station Chalkwell (southend to london Fenchurch street line), nearest bus stop Chalkwell train station  bus route 17 stops approx 2 times an hour. The train station is a 2 min walk from the beach.

Parking information

Parking available directly opposite beach on Chalkwell Esplanade. Parking ispay at meter or via Mobon app.

Swimming experience needed

Able to progress 25mtrs safely.

Accessibility of venue

Disable ramps / access are readily available from the car park and public transport areas to the foreshore and from there to the beach there are several dedicated access ramps. There is no lift at the train station, but there is at neighbouring station at Leigh-on-sea and then it’s 5 mins taxi to Chalkwell.

Facilities (including where you can get changed)

Public toilet close by, come ready to swim and bring warm clothes with you.

What to bring with you

Swim wear, beach shoes, be dressed appropriate for the days conditions with warm layers for after swim. Warm drinks and snacks are advised.
